Profound Disabilities jingle 2
00:00 / 00:54

The purpose of Profound Disabilities is to connect people with disabilities and their caregivers to services and agencies that they may not yet be aware of. We have a list of agencies and programs that are most common in the Southwest Ontario area. We are welcome and open to new ideas and suggestions that we may not already have listed. Our mission is to provide families with service options that they might not know have existed and to help families get the services they need for their children. If we are missing something, or if you think we've forgotten a service, agency or program we are always open to receiving your feedback. We can answer any questions from Monday-Saturday.

Mini Quiche Recipe
1. Check that you have all your ingredients.
- eggs (3)
- milk (1 and ½ cups)
- butter (¼ cup)
- Bisquick (1 and ½ cups)
- frozen mixed vegetables (1 cup)
- cheese (1 cup)
- salt and pepper
2. If you are planning on putting meat like chicken, bacon, ham, beef into your quiche, make sure it's already cooked before you start. You do not have to cook cold-cuts.
3. Check that you have all the tools you need, and that they are clean:
- a muffin pan
- a big plastic bowl
- a measuring cup
- a whisk
- a cereal bowl
- a soup ladle
- a paper towel
- a big spoon
- a cheese grater
- a plate (to grate the cheese onto)
4. Scoop the amount of frozen veggies you want into a cereal bowl.
5. Put the big bag of frozen veggies away in the freezer.
6. Grease the muffin tin with butter, using a paper towel.
7. Put the bowl of veggies in the microwave for 2 minutes: hit 2, 0, 0, start.
8. Check that the oven is empty.
9. Turn the oven on to 375 degrees (make sure you turn both knobs).
10. Grate the cheese. Not too much!
11. Crack 3 eggs into the bowl. Wash your hands after.
12. Mix the eggs with a whisk.
13. Add one and a half cups of Bisquick to the bowl. Do not mix it!
14. Add one and a half cups of milk to the bowl.
15. Add a quarter cup of butter to the measuring cup.
16. Melt the butter in the microwave for 20 seconds.
17. Add the melted butter to the bowl.
18. Sprinkle some salt and pepper into the bowl.
19. Mix everything in the bowl with a whisk.
20. Use a soup ladle to put a scoop of batter into each muffin cup.
21. Use a regular spoon to add your veggies to each of the muffin cups.
22. Divide up the rest of the batter into the muffin cups so they're more or less evenly filled.
23. If you have used lots of veggies, you might not have room for all the batter. Don't overfill the muffin pan. Any batter you don't have room for should be thrown away.
24. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top of each little quiche.
25. Put on your oven mitts and carefully put the muffin pan in the oven.
26. Set the microwave timer for 20 minutes (2, 0, 0, 0, start).
27. While the quiches are cooking, clean up. Don't leave the room or put on headphones. Stay alert whenever the oven is turned on!
28. When the timer goes off, put on your oven mitts again and take the pan out of the oven.
29. Turn the oven off (both knobs).
30. Let the quiches cool down for about 5-10 minutes before you take them out of the pan.
NOTES:
- One serving is 2 mini quiches. If you want, you can put extras into a Tupperware container or Ziploc baggies and freeze them to have another day.
- If you want to try different flavours of quiches, here are some flavour combinations you can do:
- ham and cheese
- bacon
- mushrooms
- broccoli and cheese
- salami
- chicken
- pepperoni
- onions and green peppers
- just about any meat (which has to be cooked unless it's cold cuts), veggies or cheese you like
